About Cathy

I am an innovative communication coach specializing in Leadership and Essential Life Skills training.

I am also a well-versed actor, director, K-12 educator, and author. My energy and passion for teaching is my trademark! 

Over the years, I have developed unique, interactive curricula for those who wish to refine their soft skills and increase their credibility and effectiveness in the workplace and academic settings. These curricula are rooted in theater techniques that have repeatedly demonstrated a capacity to alter students self-perception in a way that improves self-confidence and ability to synthesize new information.

My expertise and skills include teaching, persuasive public speaking, compelling presentations, advanced interviewing skills, empathetic communication, and proper customer service technique.

My Leadership Academy in Charlottesville, Virginia is designed for high school students who wish to explore and master essential soft skills to support their existing hard skills. My goal is to employ my interactive curriculum to build the students' social and emotional acuity and ensure their academic and professional success.

The Stapleton Acting Studio is dedicated specifically to students who are interested in honing their performing art skills and / or preparing for the college admissions process. Students are offered intensive training and individualized support and instruction. 

Being a hardwired introvert myself, I have learned how to create a safe environment where everyone can relax, laugh, and learn. I consistently receive high marks for the ability to connect with my audience, understand their needs, and help them achieve their communication goals!

Finally, I am also very excited to launch my children’s picture book designed to empower pediatric patients struggling with  serious illness and long-term hospital stays.
